Colombia El Caucho

Honeysuckle aromatics and a sugarcane sweetness balance with flavors of guava and macadamia nut, finishing round and buttery.

Roberto Achicue produced this lot on his 1680 meter,15- acre farm called El Caucho (named after the farm’s massive rubber tree), located in the community of La Ermita in the municipality of San Agustin within the department of Huila, Colombia. Roberto uses his own micro-mill to process harvested cherries, which allows for meticulous care in depulping, fermenting, and drying the coffee. Roberto maintains nearly 3 acres of his farm with natural forest where he keeps 8 beehives, which serve to pollinate the coffee trees and produce honey sold for additional income.
