New Release | Ethiopia Ardi

Snapshot: Berry-forward coffee with lasting notes of fig and dark purple fruit, complemented by a bright, lingering sweetness of rich plum wine and agave. Ethiopia Ardi hails from the Guji region, a place renowned for its exceptional coffee. This natural processed gem shares a flavor profile reminiscent of our beloved Ethiopia Refisa. With its distinct notes of wild blueberry, plum, and the natural sweetness of agave, Ethiopia Ardi stands out as a bold and unique coffee experience. But this coffee is more than just a delightful beverage; it carries a story as rich as its flavor. Ethiopia is not only considered the birthplace of coffee but also a significant site for human origins. The name "Ardi" pays homage to an extraordinary discovery in Ethiopian history. In 1994, in the Middle Awash area of the Afar Depression, a team of American and Ethiopian researchers from the University of California, Berkeley, unearthed a 4.4 million-year-old skeleton. This ancient humanoid, named Ardipithecus ramidus, provided invaluable insights into our evolutionary history, marking a significant connection to our ancestors.
By naming this coffee "Ardi," we celebrate both the deep history of coffee in Ethiopia and the profound human discoveries made in this region. Join us in savoring Ethiopia Ardi, a coffee that brings together flavors of the past with the richness of the present.
