New Release | Uganda Endele

Returning for a second year, our Uganda Endele is a treat for all, featuring notes of chocolate and red fruit with a rich, molasses-like texture and sweetness. The name "Endele," which means "calm and regal," is a fitting reflection of this coffee’s character—inviting yet full of depth. Sourced from the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains in Western Uganda, this coffee is the product of a passionate team of young entrepreneurs based in Rubiziri. Manzi (Production Lead), George (Operations Lead), and Sam (Sourcing and Sustainability Lead) launched their initiative a few years ago after securing pre-harvest funding from Ibero Uganda, a company under NKG that focuses on milling and export. They partner with 400 dedicated farmers and employ 40 seasonal workers, frequently engaging with their collaborators even during the off-season. This coffee is both easy to enjoy and layered with intricate flavors that will appeal to discerning coffee lovers. OZO is proud to feature coffee from this lesser-known region. This coffee shows up in exciting new ways depending on what brew method you use. Espresso will highlight a rich body with intense floral/fruit aromatics while a pour over will be refreshing and layered.
