Guatemala Andrés Recinos Pérez

Our third Guatemala microlot release this year, this coffee from Andrés Recinos Pérez was the winning lot in the 2026 CODECH competition, showcasing a watermelon like sweetness, complex rose florals, and a lingering ginger ale vibrancy. This coffee also earned recognicion as a finalist in the Global Coffee Awards earlier this month.

We are excited to share the winning lot from the 2026 CODECH competition from Andrés Recinos Pérez. Every year the CODECH cooperative in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala hosts an internal competition for their members to showcase their crop and receive a premium for placing within the top 10. This year's winner Andrés produced an excellent coffee with tons of red fruit sweetness and complex floral notes, which blew the judges away, receiving the highest score on two of the three days of the competition. We decided to submit this coffee into the Global Coffee Awards after seeing how well it scored and ended up receiving a Finalist Recognition award. This goes to show how much care and effort Andrés puts into his crop each year and we hope to continue to buy his coffees in the coming years.
